Halloween Vegas Style

Shadows of a thousand years rise again unseen,Voices whisper in the trees, "Tonight is Halloween!"- - - Dexter Kozen

For Halloween this year we decided to go on a road trip. Misty had a cousin getting married on the 1st of November and My brother Eric was looking for someone to play golf with. Both action items were completed, one more willingly than the other.

Ethan has been all about star Wars for the past few months so he dressed as Darth Vader. He found a fellow Vader on the street who was a little too into his role on the dark side. I think he had had a few drinks that night and the force was strong with him!

There was a strong contingency of Star Wars supporters so we had to get a few action shots. The only ones missing from this group were Eric dressed as Hans Solo and Sarah as Leah.

Haley was our entertainer, Hannah Montana. Anything to dress up and look pretty. She was so excited to have "real cowboy boots".

Kayla was tinker Bell and I don't know which was more fun, seeing her dressed up as a fairy or listening to her try and say Tinker Bell over and over. Her wings had a battery in them so they would twinkle and every time anyone would notice her she would turn her backside to them to show off her...wings.

Here they all are together. A few of them didnt know what to make of the smoke billowing out of the ground so we had to take this one quickly.

These were a few of the locals being loco!

Some cousins hug some cousins saber fight!

Thanks to Eric and Sarah for letting us stay at their place, we had a great time. Nothing can beat trick or treating in 75 degree weather, or golfing in it for that matter!

Princess Party

"In my dreams, I could be a Princess, and that's what I was. Like most little girls, I believed nothing less than a Prince could make my dreams come true. "Loretta Young

For Haleys 5 th birthday she wanted a princess party. This wasnt hard to do because all of her neighborhood friends would come over and play dress up everyday. So we had plenty of willing participants.

Thanks to grandman and Misty we set up chairs for a game of musical pricesses.

What a great day for Haley. she is such an amazing blessing in our lives. She is so obedient annd helpful. Her mind is always working and she always has something to say. As you can see she is growing like a weed, but what we love best about our little Hoozle is what a sweet heart she is. Full of love, she radiates kindness and peace and always has time to love on her daddy! We love you hazel thank you for being the princess you are.

Haley's version of a lemonaide stand. Haley came to us to ask how to spell "who wants a makeover." I asked her why and she said she wanted to set up a booth out front and give everyone in the neighborhood a makeover. So we made the sign and luckly Haley and Kayla were the only makeovers that day

Commencement

It has begun! After pushing the idea of creating a blog away for so many years we have finally embraced change. We will be plastering our faces and updates all over this page for future reference but for now just rhetoric. As the year changes from 07 to 08 we have reflected many times on the blessings that surround us. What an amazing experience it is to watch life pass by bringing many new challenges and rewards.

Misty has been very busy with the kids this year as they start school and grow into independence. She focuses most of her energy on her calling in the young womens, overseeing the hormonal imbalances of an overlyactive behive group. Ethan has started kindergarten at a charter school here in town. He has really enjoyed learning how to read and loves math. He has become quite a football fan and is growing like a weed. Haley is turning into quite a young lady with beautiful long hair and a real passion for ballet. She loves to help out and is always happy. She will start Kindergarten next year. Kayla Joy is a real character. Taking after her dad she is a real clown, making everyone laugh at her funny faces and ridiculous attempts at dancing. I have been practicing for about 2 1/2 years now and time has flown. Our practice has grown every year and I have learned a great deal. We absolutely love where we live and where I work. I have been in the elders quorum for about a year and half and love the ward.

We built a house in Aug of 2006 and have had fun trying to put in a yard and decorate. This last summer we have been building a deck with the supervision of a very generous brother in law. It looks amazing, when things dry up ill take some pictures. Future plans include a trip to California in April, a week in Powell in June and a lot of skiing to take advantage of all this snow. We'll keep everyone informed!
